Urbanism
We design urban frameworks that structure growth, strengthen identity and deliver long-term performance by aligning spatial strategy, public realm and infrastructure into coherent, adaptable environments shaped by context, culture and investment logic.
Approach
Cities are dynamic systems shaped by history, policy, economics and human behaviour.
Our approach is analytical and strategic. We translate complexity into clear urban structures that guide delivery, enable phased growth and establish coherent identity. Each masterplan acts as a flexible framework, capable of evolving while protecting long-term value, civic quality and wellbeing.
Masterplanning
We create masterplans that establish clear frameworks for growth while allowing flexibility over time. By balancing density, movement, public realm and infrastructure, we shape communities that develop coherently, support interaction and shared use, and retain a strong sense of identity.
Bankside Yards is a mixed-use district on London’s South Bank, reconnecting the river, the city and a once-inaccessible site through a net zero, all-electric masterplan.

Karl Sharro, PLP Partner, presented research on Gulf urbanism in a keynote speech at Dubai Design Week.

Parco Romana transforms a long-divided railway yard in Milan into a major new civic connector, stitching together neighbourhoods on both sides of the tracks through a resilient mixed-use district centred on a public park.

A mixed-use masterplan in Delhi designed to create a more walkable, connected and public-facing model for urban growth at Aerocity.
Urban Design
We translate strategic vision into urban form, shaping streets, blocks and public spaces that connect buildings, landscape and infrastructure into cohesive environments that support everyday life.

Tokyo Cross Park Vision sets the framework for a more open, collaborative and future-focused district in the heart of Tokyo, reconnecting the city with Hibiya Park through a hyper-mixed urban masterplan.

Urban and public realm developed for Nova Victoria, connecting activity and mixed use at ground level.

Arbor is a next-generation workplace in London, designed to bring together wellbeing, environmental performance and a closer relationship between office life and the city.

In a world where our population is booming, it’s paradoxical that we’re feeling more isolated than ever before. We’re living in an era of unparalleled connectivity.
Design Guidelines
We develop design guidelines that maintain coherence across complex developments. These frameworks balance consistency with flexibility, enabling architectural diversity while protecting long-term character and integrity.

The Krea University Campus is conceived as a new model for interdisciplinary education in southeast India. Set within a 220-acre site, the campus supports Krea’s ambition to redefine higher education through collaboration, adaptability and integrated learning.

Research & Strategic Visioning
Our urban strategies are grounded in research and spatial analysis. By examining demographic change, market conditions, policy and movement patterns, we help define credible long-term directions for urban growth.

Cultural & Creative Placemaking
We embed culture, activity and public life into the structure of urban environments. By shaping civic spaces, ground planes and mixed-use programming, we create districts that foster connection, identity and everyday vitality.

One Bishopsgate Plaza is a mixed-use landmark in the City of London, bringing together hospitality, residential living and public realm on one of the capital’s most prominent urban sites.

Marta González Ruiz, Director at PLP Architecture, took to the stage at Cityscape Global in Riyadh, joining the “Creative Gene – Cultural Venues as Community Hubs” panel.

Digital Modelling & Scenario Testing
We use digital modelling and simulation tools to test urban scenarios, evaluate performance and support informed decision-making throughout the planning process.
We develop custom tools to better understand and simulate urban conditions such as transport.
We develop custom tools to better understand and simulate massing conditions.
Smart City Strategies
We integrate technology and design intelligence to support efficient, connected urban environments. These strategies help cities respond to changing infrastructure needs and patterns of use.
Designing the future of smart cities through data, connectivity and human-centred thinking.

The conversation around regenerative construction has come a long way in the last decade with a maturing understanding of the possibilities and a growing public focus on how well the built environment meets our sustainability goals.
Sustainable Urban Systems
Environmental performance is embedded at urban scale. We design walkable districts, integrate green infrastructure and consider long-term adaptability to support resilient, healthy urban environments.
