About
Located in the Uchisaiwaicho 1-Chome district, Tokyo Cross Park Vision is a 6.5-hectare redevelopment that brings together ten major Japanese companies to transform one of the capital’s most prominent urban sites. Conceived as one of the largest regeneration projects in metropolitan Tokyo, the masterplan establishes a new model for city-making that integrates workspace, hospitality, homes, retail, co-creation environments and a major public realm into a single connected district.
At the heart of the scheme is a hyper-mixed programme of four towers, a 31-metre podium and a 2-hectare public plaza, designed to encourage exchange between people, organisations and disciplines. Buildings are arranged to frame public spaces, improve daylight and create a more walkable and active urban environment, while co-creation spaces and amenities are strategically placed to support collaboration and new forms of interaction across the district.
A key ambition of the masterplan is to strengthen Tokyo’s civic and ecological landscape. Two pedestrian park bridges extend the experience of Hibiya Park into the site, helping to create a broader walkable green network that links the district more directly to nature, public life and the surrounding city. This relationship between architecture, landscape and infrastructure establishes a new kind of urban framework for central Tokyo, one shaped as much by wellbeing and openness as by density and performance.
Tokyo Cross Park Vision is also conceived as a long-term model for sustainable urban growth. Designed to be operationally net zero at completion, the district reflects a broader ambition to create a more resilient, human-centred and future-ready Tokyo, where innovation, public life and environmental performance are embedded into the structure of the city itself.

“Tokyo Cross Park Vision creates a new urban model for Tokyo, where public realm, innovation and city life come together in a more connected and future-focused district.”
Project Updates

Extending the Park
New pedestrian bridges connect the site directly to Hibiya Park, extending the landscape into the development and helping to dissolve the boundary between park and city. This creates a more continuous public realm, where movement, greenery and open space are woven into the everyday experience of the district. In doing so, the masterplan strengthens the relationship between nature, urban life and the surrounding city.

The Vision
The masterplan establishes a new framework for the district, bringing together architecture, public realm and landscape to create a more connected and open urban environment. It defines how the different elements of the scheme work together as a cohesive whole.
