Worldmall
New Delhi, India
A retail destination in Delhi designed to redefine the traditional mall as a place for experience, exchange and connection.
About
Located within Aerocity’s Gateway District in Delhi, Worldmark is a large-scale mixed-use retail destination designed to create a new model for shopping, dining and entertainment. At approximately 196,000 m², the project is conceived not as a conventional enclosed mall, but as a more open and experiential environment that brings together retail, culture and public life.
The design rethinks the role of the mall as a place for interaction and exchange, combining a wide range of retail, food and beverage, and entertainment uses within a connected and dynamic spatial framework. Public spaces, internal streets and gathering areas are integrated throughout, creating a more social and engaging experience for visitors.
At this scale, public space becomes a defining part of the project rather than a secondary element. A sequence of streets, plazas and communal environments helps structure movement and activity across the development, creating a more legible and urban experience than a traditional inward-facing retail centre.
Rather than operate as a singular retail object, the building is conceived as part of the wider Aerocity masterplan, contributing to a broader mixed-use district defined by movement, connectivity and public realm. Its scale and programme allow it to function as both a destination and an anchor within the wider development.
Digital infrastructure, flexibility and evolving retail formats are embedded within the design, allowing the development to adapt to changing behaviours and expectations over time. This approach positions Worldmark as a forward-looking retail environment capable of responding to new patterns of consumption and experience.
The result is a new type of retail destination that combines architecture, technology and public life to create a more connected and contemporary urban experience.

At the scale of the development, public space becomes a defining element, creating a network of streets, plazas and gathering areas that organise movement and activity throughout. Rather than a singular enclosed mall, the project is conceived as a sequence of connected spaces that support social interaction and a more open urban experience.

“Worldmark reimagines retail as a place to meet, exchange and connect, bringing together architecture, experience and public life at a new scale.”
