Shenrun Tower
Shenzhen, China
A mixed-use tower in Shenzhen designed to mark the eastern gateway of Shennan Avenue.
About
Located in Shenzhen’s Luohu District, Shenrun Tower is a 112,000 m² mixed-use development combining offices, hotel accommodation, retail and serviced apartments within a single vertical composition. Developed for Shenzhen Shenrun Group, the project is positioned at the eastern gateway of Shennan Avenue, establishing a clear architectural presence at a key point within the city’s commercial core and ongoing urban expansion.
The tower’s form is shaped by movement, drawing on the idea of a folded Chinese landscape scroll to create a façade that appears to rise and unfurl as the building ascends. A helical line wraps the tower at regular intervals, giving the massing a strong upward rhythm and reinforcing its role as a visible urban marker within the skyline.
At ground level, the main lobby is positioned on the eastern corner of the site to maximise visibility, accessibility and engagement with the surrounding streets. Together, these elements create a building that is not only prominent in form, but responsive to its wider urban setting and the flow of the city around it. The result is a mixed-use tower that combines commercial intensity with a strong sense of movement, identity and place.
