Jinan Tower
Shanghai, China
A mixed-use tower in Jinan designed as a high-performance workplace and a distinct presence within the city skyline.
About
Located within Jinan’s emerging central business district, Jinan Tower is a mixed-use high-rise designed to establish a clear architectural presence within the city’s expanding skyline. At approximately 240 metres tall, the tower brings together workplace, hospitality and public-facing uses within a single vertical composition, creating a new landmark that responds to both the scale of the city and the demands of contemporary urban life.
The building’s form is shaped by orientation, environmental performance and long-range views, creating a tower that is both efficient and visually distinctive. Its sculpted profile gives the building a strong identity on the skyline while helping to mediate solar exposure, maximise daylight and support a high-quality internal environment across its stacked programme.
At ground level, the tower contributes to the wider urban framework of the district through a more open and connected public realm. Entrances, shared amenities and civic-facing spaces help anchor the building within the city, reinforcing its role not only as a vertical destination, but as part of a broader and evolving metropolitan context.

“The ambition was to create a tower that performs efficiently while contributing a strong and recognisable presence to the city.”
