Opus
London, UK
Opus is a landmark residential tower on London’s South Bank, bringing together luxury living, sustainability and a rich amenity offering within the wider Bankside Yards neighbourhood.
About
Rising 50 storeys above the River Thames, Opus is the first residential building within Bankside Yards, the wider mixed-use district that is reshaping this part of London’s South Bank. Designed as a new model for urban living, the tower brings together 249 homes, exceptional views and a broad suite of resident amenities within a highly connected and culturally rich setting, close to landmarks including Tate Modern, Blackfriars Bridge and the South Bank’s wider cultural mile.
As part of the UK’s first major fossil fuel-free mixed-use development, Opus is designed to support a more environmentally conscious form of city living. The building is all-electric, net zero in operation and connected to Bankside Yards’ pioneering fifth-generation energy-sharing network, which allows energy to be exchanged across different uses within the district. Passive design strategies and high-performance façade systems also help reduce energy demand while improving comfort and natural light throughout the homes.
Beyond the residences themselves, Opus is shaped around a lifestyle offer that extends living well beyond the apartment. Wellness, recreation and social spaces are integrated throughout the building and the wider neighbourhood, including a hydrotherapy and current pool, padel court, co-working spaces, art and podcast studios, landscaped garden rooms and a private residents’ club overlooking London. Together, these amenities create a more connected and future-facing residential experience rooted in wellbeing, culture and everyday convenience.
Positioned between the river, the city and the wider public realm of Bankside Yards, Opus is conceived not simply as a residential tower, but as part of a new mixed-use neighbourhood where living, culture and urban life come together in a more integrated way.
Rising above the River Thames, Opus is shaped by its exceptional position between the city, the river and London’s cultural core. The homes are designed to maximise light, outlook and a strong connection to the wider urban landscape.
