About
Sky Central is the flagship building of Sky’s West London campus, bringing nearly 3,500 employees together within a single workplace community. Designed by PLP Architecture with concept design by AL_A and workplace design by HASSELL, the building was developed to support a wide range of working styles while creating a more connected, collaborative and future-ready headquarters environment.
At the heart of the building, a central atrium and elevated live broadcast studio establish a strong internal focus, while a long internal street connects the main entrances and acts as the social and spatial spine of the workplace. Along this route, a series of workspaces, dining areas, informal meeting spaces, a cinema and support facilities create an environment designed to encourage movement, interaction and encounter across the organisation.
Despite its scale, the building is organised into a series of distinct neighbourhoods that help to humanise the workplace and support different modes of use. Large, naturally lit floorplates are paired with flexible and efficient planning, allowing the building to respond to changing patterns of work over time while maintaining a strong sense of openness and community.
Together, these elements create a headquarters designed not only for operational performance, but for the daily experience of the people who use it. The result is a workplace that brings together the corporate, creative and production sides of Sky under one roof.

“The ambition was to create a workplace that could bring thousands of people together while still feeling connected, flexible and human in scale.”
