About

The project is conceived as a pair of inclined, elevated volumes linked by a transparent central spine, creating a distinctive architectural presence while maximising connectivity and interaction across the building. Designed for flexibility, it brings together office, amenity and hospitality functions within a single, cohesive structure.

At ground level, the building opens to the city as a permeable extension of the public realm, animated by a café, collaborative spaces and generous facilities for cyclists. Above, the twin office wings frame double-height atria at either end of the plan, drawing daylight deep into the floorplates and creating vertical connections that support social exchange.

At the centre, the glazed connective core concentrates movement and shared spaces, encouraging informal meetings, collaboration and wellbeing throughout the working day. Upper-level terraces offer access to light, air and expansive views across western Milan, extending the workplace outdoors.

A sculptural roof of angled, cantilevered planes shades these terraces and defines the building’s skyline identity, while a rhythm of white fins and slender vertical elements wraps the façades, lending the architecture a light, finely textured presence. Designed to meet EU Taxonomy and NZEB standards, Building Zero integrates sustainability directly into its architecture, targeting LEED Platinum, WELL Gold and WiredScore Gold.
