PLP Architecture has created some of the world's smartest buildings, which have redefined what it means to live and work in today’s cities. PLP Labs is a research collaborative that develops concepts and technologies aimed at the future development of cities and urban living.

We have recently completed the Edge, the greenest office building in the world and Collective Old Oak, the largest co-living building to date. PLP is currently working on the tallest all-timber building in the world as well as researching a ground-breaking urban mobility system that fuses autonomous cars with mass-transit.

Content/ Editing/ Storytelling at PLP Architecture, PLP Labs

 

PLP Architecture seeks an ambitious, intellectually nimble candidate for a new role to develop the strategy and content of our internal and external communications. Working with new and existing material, the candidate must be able to create strategic pitches with a high level of design in 2D and HTML formats. This is an opportunity to weave storytelling into our communications to create ideas that engage every audience.

Experience in 2D/3D visual content creation (animation, design, editing), the ability to storyboard presentations, animations and to compose page layout is a must.  Strong design sensibility story-telling skills for the design of hybrid/physical and digital environments is essential. The successful candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team to design campaigns for print, digital, motion graphics and video’s for diverse projects.

We are seeking excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal. The ability to evolve our existing collateral for interactive, social media and web based platforms will also be part of the role. 

This is a full-time position with benefits, based in our London office. An architectural background is preferred; but not essential.

Graphics Assistant at PLP Architecture, PLP Labs

 

PLP Architecture seeks a talented graphics assistant with a good eye and a passion for detail to support our existing graphics team. The candidate will provide in-house design services creating artwork as required to support a range of internal and external communications and marketing activities. 

The successful candidate will be highly proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Illustrator, with After Effects/Premier Pro an added bonus. They will work on all aspects of marketing material:  print and digital brochures, PowerPoint presentations, interactive PDF’s, newsletters, emailers, branding, and social media. They will help to maintain the company image library.

Experience and knowledge of website CMS platforms, print production processes, photoshop retouching and the creation of diagrams and infographics from sketches and data is advantageous.

This is a full-time position with benefits, based in our London office. Experience of working in an architectural background is preferred; but not essential.

Japanese Speaking Architect at PLP Architecture

 

PLP is seeking a talented and motivated architect to work us in our London-based studio. Experience of working on Japanese projects is essential to this role.

Essential experience and skills:

  • 10 years + experience working with all stages of design
  •  Fluent in Japanese, both written and spoken and good level of English
  •  We look for candidates with strong communication and coordination skills, good technical knowledge to coordinate with Japanese local architects and consultants beyond concept design
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, good design sensitivity and the ability to work independently whilst functioning in a team environment and manage smoothly the office team and Japanese local consultants and architects
  • Strong 2D and 3D skills including, Rhino, Revit, MicroStation. Grasshopper and other design communication skills like InDesign, Illustrator would be advantageous.

Desirable experience:

  • Good grasp of architectural design and construction practice in Japan, as well as local building regulations
  • Façade package experience is preferred

Design Technology Manager at PLP Architecture, PLP Labs

 

PLP Architecture seeks an intellectually curious candidate to support and advance the practice’s position at the forefront of applied technology. The candidate will manage existing core information services as well as lead the research and development of emerging systems and technologies.

 

We are seeking leadership and vision for the practice in all aspects of technology research and CAD delivery, including BIM.  The successful candidate will work with the Senior Management and Project Teams to implement the CAD/BIM process, ensuring that all projects comply with CAD/BIM specific project requirements and latest standards. They will also ensure the implementation of the practice's CAD/BIM protocols in all projects, internal staff training and day-to-day troubleshooting.

 

This is a full-time position with benefits, based in our London office. An architectural background is preferred; experience in academia is a plus.
