WIRED UK takes a look at

The Edge, Amsterdam

Wired UK - Future Science, Culture and Technology visits ‘The Edge’, our new 40,000sqm office for leading global professional services firm Deloitte, developed by OVG Real Estate, in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam.

In the May issue, the magazine checks out the significance of the smart technology and the architectural design that contributed to the building being awarded the world’s most sustainable office building by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the global assessor of sustainable buildings.

During the tour of the building and its grand 15-storey north-facing atrium, Coen van Oostrom, founder and CEO of OVG Real Estate and Ron Bakker, founding partner of PLP Architecture describe how the application of smart technology enhances the quality of the workplace, and how the data collected will be an invaluable source of information on modern office practice.
