Walid Elsayed is an Associate Partner at PLP Architecture with over ten years’ experience across a wide range of sectors including master-planning, commercial, residential and hospitality projects in the UK, Europe and Middle East.
Since joining PLP, Walid has worked on the refurbishment of Devonshire Row, as part of Heron Plaza. He is currently working on Farringdon East OSD,
Having worked with a number of UK practices prior to joining PLP, Walid has been involved in the design of some high profile projects such as Welwyn Garden City, a new urban quarter in Hertfordshire, the rejuvenation of Grade 2 listed Crystal Palace Park , The Grid Building and Lauriston secondary school in London, and hotels in Azerbaijan and Porto Montenegro in Montenegro.
Walid completed his Postgraduate Diploma course in Professional Practice & Management at UCL, whilst previously attaining a Master of Architecture; Computing and Design at University of East London where he was awarded a Distinction for his thesis on the integrated application of Genetic Algorithms in Architecture. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt where he is a registered architect. He is also a qualified member of the International project management association (IPMA).
