PLP Architecture has been appointed by Cargiant, the land owner of an 18.5 hectare site in West London, and development partner London & Regional Properties, as part of a multi-disciplinary team to lead the masterplan of Old Oak Park.
The project will regenerate the largest site in Old Oak Common, currently home to the world’s largest car dealership Cargiant and one of the most strategically important sites for the future of London. This vast swathe of industrial land will be transformed into a thriving new district for London, creating much needed new homes and jobs, new schools, high quality parks and open spaces benefiting from incredible transport connections and access to the Grand Union Canal.
We are working with the client, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the emerging Old Oak and Park Royal Mayoral Development Corporation (OPDC) along with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham to develop a new world-class neighbourhood that supports the Mayor of London’s vision for Old Oak Common as a thriving new part of the capital. The site, the first to be delivered within the OPDC area, is central to unlocking the development of Old Oak Common and ‘setting the standard for the wider regeneration of the area’.
The masterplanning team includes AECOM, Arup, DP9, iCube, Quod, Tavernor Consultancy, Waterman Group and West 8.
