Kevin Flanagan is a Partner at PLP Architecture and an architect with 30 years experience establishing a reputation for award-winning designs throughout major world cities including New York, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, London, The Hague, Rotterdam, Berlin, Bangkok, Seoul, Beirut, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Shanghai. Kevin has also been involved in studies in London, Manchester, Manila, Moscow, Nanjing, St. Petersburg, Dubai, Dusseldorf, Halle, Hoofddorp, and Eindhoven.
His design solutions resolve both the city context and environmental concerns in a single bold concept; his designs are a response to the nature of place. Exemplary projects, while at KPF, include Provinciehuis (the Provincial Parliament Building) and the De Hoftoren Tower – both in The Hague, Netherlands; and the landmark Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) Headquarters building in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Architectural Association in London, England and Carleton University in Canada, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas.
He is a long-standing director of the American Institute of Architects’ AIA/UK Chapter, and has served as an international architectural editor. Kevin has lectured widely. His work has twice been chosen for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art, London and his recent design for the museum and theatre of Perm are presently on exhibition in Russia.
