Melis Kucuktunc is an Associate Partner with experience in commercial, retail and master planning projects in Europe, Africa, and Asia. She focuses on design development, 3D modelling, parametric modelling and computational design.
At PLP, Melis is currently working on a new Headquarters in Moscow for global technology leader Yandex. She has worked across all project stages, from concept and detailed design to interior design.
Before joining PLP, Melis was involved in various projects including, Cairo International Airport in Egypt, an award-winning urban design project in Turkey, and a sports hall with a 15,000-visitor capacity in Senegal.
Melis received her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from TED University in Ankara, with a minor in Communications and her Master’s degree from the Architectural Association Design Research Lab (AADRL) in London, having been awarded the AA Graduate Bursary.
For her postgraduate thesis, Melis participated in a month-long residency at the Autodesk Build Space in Boston where she developed a prototype in collaboration with a Danish robotics company. Her research has been published in journals and has been featured in the Roca Gallery and Building Centre in London.
