Josh is a Senior Associate Partner with thirty-six years of experience working in award-winning architectural practices in London on prestigious projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East; his extensive career having commenced at the Richard Rogers Partnership where he worked for six years on the design and completion of the Lloyd’s Building in the City of London.
Josh has an excellent understanding of the design process and design team management for projects of different scales including airport terminals, hospitals, medical research and light industrial buildings, commercial offices, corporate headquarters, hotels, leisure and retail facilities and private residences.
At PLP Architecture, Josh has been involved in the design of the mixed-use development for Nova, Victoria in London, the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, as well as the Old Cavendish Street Pavilion on London’s Oxford Street and a private residence in Hampstead.
Previously at Kohn Pedersen Fox London, Josh worked on the design of The Pinnacle in the City of London and a design competition for a residential tower in Mumbai. He has also held teaching posts as a visiting studio and review critic at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow; the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen; and at universities in Dundee and Edinburgh.
Josh studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, receiving a BSc (Hons) degree followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture. During this time, Josh worked for a brief period for Alvar Aalto Architect in Helsinki, Finland contributing to the production of construction drawings for the Essen Opera House in Germany.
