Our proposal for the Jamsil Sports Complex masterplan in Seoul, operates simultaneously at mega-large and infinitesimally small scales to introduce a new urban ligament based on the city's hillside alleyways. Connecting the site with Gangnam to the west, the Golmok Bridge establishes a primary experiential conduit through Jamsil as a counterpoint to the oversized, generic superblock perimeter streets. Around this conduit, three distinct neighbourhoods, galvanized around two retained stadia and a proposed convention centre, irrigate the bridge with activity.
