Andreas Urff is a Senior Associate Partner at PLP Architecture with over 16 years of experience of international architectural projects. Andreas has worked across a wide range of sectors, ranging from large commercial, cultural and residential projects to urban design in Europe, USA, the Middle East and Asia. He has extensive experience with the different stages of the design process – from inception to construction and has specialised in cladding / façade design. His work includes the completion of a number of construction sites in the UK, France and Germany.
Currently, Andreas is working on ONE Bishopsgate Plaza for the Singaporean investment and development property company UOL Group adjacent to Heron Tower. Centrally located in the City of London, this new mixed-use development includes a luxury hotel, residential and retail in a combination of new and refurbished buildings, a 43-storey tower together with a new public square on Bishopsgate.
Andreas has previously worked the 5* Four Seasons Abu Dhabi Sowwah Island hotel and residential project in Abu Dhabi, which is due for completion in 2016. Additionally, he has also been involved with the design and cladding of The Francis Crick Institute, a state-of-art biomedical research facility at London’s King’s Cross.
In his previous employment at KPF, Andreas worked with Lee Polisano on the Abu Dhabi International Airport expansion project, the Snow Hill Project, a mixed-use development in London and the Parc du Millenaire project - a commercial office development set in the Parc des Portes de Paris, St. Denis, France.
Prior to joining KPF/PLP, Andreas worked on proposals including the planning application and RIBA Stages C+D for Bucklersbury House, London with Ateliers Jean Nouvel in corporation with Foster and Partners.
Andreas attained his Diploma in Architecture from the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany and is a registered architect in the UK with membership of the Architects’ Registration Board. He speaks English, German and French fluently.
